Villa Kailasha is a stunning three-bedroom villa resting upon an expansive 1,100 square metres of beachside land in Bali’s fertile Tabanan regency. The view of the Bali Strait and the glistening black-sand beach just beyond the end of the coconut grove garden is magnificent, and guests can expect to be lulled to sleep by the soothing sound of the ocean waves.

VILLA ACCOMMODATION

Villa Kailasha is approached via a neat driveway which opens into a large parking area with the villa on the seaward side and the staff service building discretely tucked away on the inland side. An impressive porte cochere bordered by ponds heralds the entrance to the villa. Behind this is the living pavilion and, some distance to the left, the two-bedroom guesthouse. To the right lie the dining pavilion and the master suite. The swimming pool and comfortably furnished balé are positioned close to the beach on the far side of the gardens to make the most of the glorious sea views.

Master bedroom
Villa Kailasha’s air-conditioned master suite, with its high roof and cushioned window seat, is furnished with a king-size bed upon a raised platform and two cushioned wicker arm chairs. This spacious room is equipped with a ceiling fan, satellite-channel TV and fridge. Guests will relish the views from the bed across the garden and pool to the ocean beyond, which are reflected perfectly in the mirror behind the bed as well. At the back of the room is a large dressing area with fitted wardrobes, plus a huge bathroom. Glass doors lead from the bathroom’s vanity area, directly into the private six square metre plunge pool, complete with a deck and a thatched balé pavilion furnished with a table and two chairs. Beyond this are a walk-in rain shower and a bathtub looking into a private garden complete with an outdoor shower.

Guest Bedroom
The guesthouse presents two almost identical guest suites next door to one another within a private, partially walled courtyard complete with ornamental pond. The bedrooms feature sliding louvre shutters over glass doors, marble floors and high roofs. Each air-conditioned room is furnished with a king-size bed and armchairs, and equipped with ceiling fan, satellite-channel TV and dressing areas with fitted wardrobes. The bathrooms offer twin washbasins upon wide vanity units, walk-in rain showers and bathtubs set alongside picture windows overlooking private gardens.

Living Pavilion
The splendid fan-cooled living pavilion is open to the garden, the sea breezes and the view. The room is so large that it features three distinct sitting areas, one of which is furnished with sofas and chairs set around a large-flat screen TV and DVD player. In front of the pavilion is a wide, partially sheltered stone terrace.

Dining Pavilion
Open on three sides, the dining pavilion features a terrazzo floor under a soaring roof. Cooled by ceiling fans it is furnished with two solid wood tables (one large and one  small) that can be brought together to make a dining table for ten, complete with wicker chairs. This pavilion is set in a partially walled courtyard and is linked to the main living pavilion by a short pathway.

On one side of the terrace in front of the living pavilion is a separate alfresco dining area with a table for eight: a great spot for a barbecue.

VILLA FACILITIES & SERVICE

Villa Kitchen
A self-contained modern kitchen is tucked away out of sight, adjacent to the living pavilion. It is fully equipped with an oven and gas hob, a large fridge, a microwave, a coffee  machine and everything that the cook needs to prepare delicious meals and beverages for guests.

Pool and Garden
Covering a huge 1,100 square metres of land, Villa Kailasha’s garden presents beautifully manicured terraced lawns dotted with coconut palm trees and flowering frangipanis. The infinity- edge swimming pool is set well away from the house with spectacular views of the ocean and the windswept black-sand beach. The pool is bordered by a grass-and-paving-stone chequerboard terrace furnished with two sunbeds, a cushioned bench seat and three umbrellas. To one side of the pool is a large balé relaxation pavilion presenting a huge daybed with a deep mattress and a colonial-style, cushioned wooden sofa, chairs and a coffee table.

Villa Service
Villa Kailasha boasts a dedicated team of staff (their positions and responsibilities outlined below) to service guests in the villa.

Staff
- Full-time manager
The manager at Villa Kailasha, oversees and coordinates the staff team and assists guests during their stay. He is also a talented musician.

- One Full-time Cook
Villa Kailasha’s skilled cook will prepare daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, according to the wishes and whims of the guests. Additionally, professional caterers can be brought in for weddings and other special events.

- One Butler and Four Housekeepers
There are four housekeepers at Villa Kailasha who will attend to daily cleaning and domestic duties as well as waiting on guests and assisting the kitchen at mealtimes

- One Pool Attendant and Gardener
A team of four gardeners work discretely to maintain the high standards of the garden and the pool without disturbing the guests.

- Two Security Guards
Villa Kailasha is kept safe and secure by a two security guards who work on a shift basis.

Dining
The menu
Villa Kailasha boasts a dining service with a wonderful array of international dishes. Many Western meals are available, but we recommend you to try some of the local Balinese dishes for a unique cultural experience.

The System
Food and beverage items are charged based on grocery cost system. Guests will need to provide some money in advance and the staff will do the shopping for you and keep the receipts for your reference. Should you have a request for a dish not on the menu, or a special dietary requirement, please feel free to ask the chef, who will strive to comply with all of your wishes.

While the villa has large food preparation areas, it is not a restaurant and cannot support each individual guest ordering different foods for same dining periods. If you have a large group it is advisable that the group dines on the same dish or that you order several dishes to be shared. Please allow at least one day’s notice, and feel free to discuss any requirements with the chef or villa manager.

Spa Service
Guests at Villa Kailasha can enjoy a traditional massage in the privacy of one of the bedrooms or in the poolside gazebo. Massage treatments are provided by professionally trained therapists, and the villa manager is on hand to assist with appointments
