Rented as a single property, Villa Selat accommodates a minimum of 8 guests in 4 sumptuously appointed bedroom suites inspired by Balinese culture’s unique fusion of ancient Austronesian and Hindu heritage. The exclusively situated suites and coordinated living facilities are graced with Sanskrit names that reflect the distinctive experiential characteristics each setting provides. The villa employs full-time Balinese staff of 12. Two chefs will prepare your complimentary breakfast and are available on request to prepare delicious meals of Balinese or International cuisine.
The villa’s car and full-time driver will pick you up at the airport on your arrival and is available throughout your stay to take you to and from Ubud, where you can enoy shopping, a yoga class, art galleries and museums, and numerous world-class restaurants. Our driver can also transport you to several exquisite beaches nearby and escort you on customized tours to accommodate your personal discovery of the “real Bali.” The villa’s manager is formally educated in hospitality and culinary arts and speaks fluent English. He will ensure that the staff attends to your every need and will provide full concierge service, arranging restaurant and sightseeing reservations, in-house meal planning, museum and art gallery visits, local excursions, valet service, and any other assistance to make certain that each moment at Villa Selat is as pleasurable and memorable as possible.

Ananda Suite
Ananda is Sanskrit for “bliss,” the transcendent state of profound well-being, perfect happiness, and serene contentment. The Ananda Suite invokes the weightless feeling of “walking on air” with dramatic expanses of floor-to-ceiling windows that embrace a spectacular view which plunges from endless open skies to the verdant forest floor of the Kendang basin.
The Ananda Suite has a European king size bed (200 cm x 200 cm) with 2 imported goose down and 2 imported memory foam pillows, a large en suite bathroom, a spacious en suite wood-paneled walk-in closet, and a tranquil sitting area overlooking the picturesque river valley and the villa property. The Ananda Suite is the villa owner’s personal bedroom when he is in residence. Its interior stairway descends to the Panda Reading and Media Room, one of the villa’s prime entertainment attractions.
Bhavana Suite
Bhavana is Sanskrit for "the cultivation of sensitive spiritual connection through creative contemplation." The Bhavana Suite provides the ideal setting for erasing the worldly boundaries between mind, body and nature with nonpareil panoramic views both down and across the Kendang vale. The suite’s opulent design creates the breathtaking impression of being suspended above the valley itself. On clear days, the volcanic majesty of Mount Agung, the most sacred place on the island to the Balinese, rises mystically atop the forest canopy.
The Bhavana Suite has a European king size bed (200 cm x 200 cm) with 2 imported goose down and 2 imported memory foam pillows, a large en suite bathroom, a large en suite wood-paneled walk-in closet, and a serene sitting area. Located on the 2nd floor of a 2-story guesthouse, the stunning suite is accessed by a private set of stairs.
Sattva Suite
Sattva is Sanskrit for “luminosity,” signifying the light, clarity, and insight that is the fruit of virtuous living in tune with nature. Those who stay in the Sattva Suite will be treated to the cheerful energy emanating from open access to the outdoor patio perched above the valley and the adjacent pool, manifesting the harmony of earth and water that are integral to Balinese life.
With a private entrance off the patio, the Sattva Suite is perfect for siblings or good friends, featuring 2 European size twin beds (100 cm x 200 cm), each with an imported goose down and an imported memory foam pillow. A large en suite bathroom, a large en suite wood-paneled walk-in closet, and a comfy sitting area complement the spacious sleeping quarters. The Sattva Suite occupies the 1st floor of the 2-story guesthouse that also houses the Bhavana Suite.
Sundara Suite
Sundara is Sanskrit for “lovely,” indicating the radiance of both inner and outer beauty. The Sundara Suite has been created to showcase the distinctive charm of traditional Balinese decor, and its aura is unlike any other accommodation in the villa. The hand-carved Java doors open into a brightly colored space adorned with exuberantly crafted Balinese and Madura furnishings.
The Sundara Suite features a large Balinese double bed and separate day bed, an en suite half bath, and a private outdoor Balinese shower that offers a simply unforgettable sensual experience. The cozy exterior deck provides soothing views across the pool and down the valley for moments of private leisure that commune with the natural milieu.
